we are ensured with PBI insurance. we also provide a copy of our Terms and conditions for overnight stays.
3. What about heating and temperatures during Colder months
What temperature should a cattery be kept at in Ireland?
The ideal temperature for most cats is **18°C to 24°C**. This range keeps cats comfortable without overheating or getting chilled.
What's the absolute minimum safe temperature for cats?
The temperature in sleeping or resting areas should not drop below **10°C**, even overnight. Heated bedding or insulated sleeping boxes can help during cold months.
However at Urbanpawswaterrford.ie we maintain and monitor temperature to ensure a minimum of 18 degrees C.
For Kittens this is higher with a set temperature of 21°C targeted.
What heating methods are used?**
Safe, thermostatically controlled tube hearing and oil filled radiators are used. No open flames or unguarded heat sources are used.
How does humidity affect cattery comfort?
Cats are most comfortable at **40–60% relative humidity. We also monitor humidity for information purposes.
What about kittens, elderly, or sick cats?
These cats are more sensitive to cold. A slightly warmer range of — around 21–24°C.
